They'll have to sell your car as a used car and no one is going to buy your 400-mile used car without a several thousand dollar discount off a brand new one. Think about this - a brand new $30,000 vehicle can have an equivalent of up to $3,000 in repairs without the dealer being required to disclose it. This shows the type of damage that even a brand new car can have straight from the dealer. Was wondering if anyone knew if we can legally take the car back and have it replaced with another one or they can cancel our contract?
I really want to bring in the car tomorrow to see what they're going to do, but they said to bring it Monday, which I don't get. This morning we noticed dings, dents , and scratches all over. I had 4 inch gashes in my new car from the garage door closing on it. Immediately upon noticing, I called my salesman, and he said to bring the car in and the dealer would fix them. They were a bit pissed, saying they'll polish right out, no problem, but I figured a brand new car shouldn't have something like this - I've never seen something like that in a new car and it really bugged me. Repeat if not good coverage. So, I told them no way, get another car. We live in Oregon, and not sure what the law is.
