It means steal items who's value equal to 500 of you sold them to a vendor. No completion. I have went back and played the other thieves guild jobs in order to get master thief avoiding Bedlam jobs. I've started doing some of the Thieves Guild jobs to steal stuff and what not, and I chose a bedlam job.
I have successfully done this in other cities before. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. I've stolen in excess of 1500 gold, mostly in jewellery, by pickpocketing in and around Windhelm, and the quest hasn't updated yet. Steal 500 gold in goods from Markarth.
I'm not sure how to fix this, or if there's even actually a problem or if I'm just unlucky. Delvin will just flat out tell you to go steal from a RANDOM Hold like crazy. All of these jobs have high earning power ranging from 50 to 800 coins, depending on the difficulty. I'm doing the Bedlam Job in Windhelm, and I think I should be done by now. I've checked Youtube and tried to search up good places to steal from, but I couldn't find anything.

Just picked up the special edition skyrim (which still looks like garbage btw) and stole 7,800 dollars worth of emeralds and armor. Where are some easy places to steal from in Whiterun for the bedlam job quest? I have done a variety of jobs from both Vex and Devlin, and I have been given and completed THREE of the FOUR special jobs. The BEDLAM job is all about mass-stealing. The quest that glitches the most is the Bedlam job from Delvin, which no longer targets the main cities but will select any settlement ,anywhere, including added lands from other mods. But it sucks not doing Bedlam jobs because they are my favorite since I can keep what I steal and sell it.Mo Money!
