I don't want to forkout a heap on SolidWorks, so i'm looking for some freeware. Every CAD program has limitations, Sketchup included. Create a basic 3D printable object with Sketchup. If you’re exporting an STL file for 3D printing, be sure to install an appropriate plug-in like “STLTranslator”.
